PROFILE OF REV. DR. OLUSEGUN MARTINS.
Olusegun Martins graduated from the University of Ife, Nigeria (now known as Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1985 where he studied Agricultural Economics. In 1987 he obtained a Masters degree in the same discipline from University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
Also, he holds the Associate Diploma of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London and he is a member of the following professional bodies; Nigerian Institute of Management, International Institute of Pastoral Education and Chaplaincy, Pastoral Heart and Mental Health Association of USA, Canada and Nigeria.
He holds doctorate degrees in Theology, Spirituotherapy and Psychotheology. A licensed counselor and Chaplain, he is also a three-star General of the International Chaplains Association of Nigeria and USA.
Dr. Martins had his theological training at God’s Army Bible Training Centre, Faith Christian Theological Seminary both in Nigeria and Central Christian University, USA.
He began his work career as a pioneer staff of the Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Corporation where he became the Acting Head of the Claims Unit before he answered the call of God and went into full-time ministry in The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM).
For about 12 years, he was involved in pastoral work in a managerial capacity as Resident Pastor of TREM churches in three states within South-Western Nigeria. At a time, he served as the Area Pastor of TREM in Yewa Area of Ogun State.
He is currently the Registrar of God’s Army Bible College, the Training and Educational arm of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM).
Dr. Martins has a very strong passion to train, equip and develop people (particularly the younger generation) as well as see them gain/pursue a meaningful career in life.
He is married to Oyekemi and they are blessed with two lovely children – Ebun-Oluwa and David.
